Finally, here it is! my DIY recipes for my moisturizing body scrub and lip scrub. :)
I did these DIY's when I had my pamper weekend routine last week.. and it did an amazing job of exfoliating my skin and lips.. so today I will be sharing you gurlies my recipes.
The ingredients that you need are just so simple..
- Unscented lotion
- extra virgin olive oil
- petroleum jelly/ vaseline
- Body mist of your choice
- Food colorant
- empty bottles/jar of your choice
For the body scrub, I did an ombre effect because I like anything artsy farsty.. I want mine to be pink plus I was using my pure seduction body mist that has a pinkish color.. don't worry because it won't stain your skin so it's okay to put any colors that you like. but it's okay too if you don't like to add any food coloring.
First thing that you wanna do is to put a tbsp of lotion of your choice.. make sure it's unscented or has a mild scent. The measure would depend on how much you are making. If you want to use a cup of sugar then it should always be with an equal amount of lotion. So put 1 cup of lotion over 1 cup of sugar.
Next, add a tbsp of olive oil into the mixture and mix.
Then ofcourse, add a tbsp of your body mist for fragrance and mix well..
I'm using my Victoria's Secret Pure seduction body mist.
This time, add more sugar to make it more exfoliating.
and last, add the color of your choice! I separated it by two to make an ombre effect. and VOILA it's done!
How easy was that?! I love this scrub and it was so moisturizing on my skin! the most fun part was you get to choose the scent and the color that you want. This could also make a great gift if you want. :)
and now for the LIP SCRUB! you know the drill already girls..
First, add a tsp of honey, then a bit of vaseline for moisture.. you can also add olive oil if you want.. then mix it all together and there you have it! your DIY LIP SCRUB!
I tried it on my lips and it made my lips so supple and soft. really great for scrubbing the dead skin cells off your lips.. plus it tastes so good because of the honey! You can also add a lip tint of your choice for colors.
I hope you find this very helpful and comment below if you have any other DIY recipes for body scrub and lip scrub that you'd like to share! I wanna know. :)
